Have you read any good books lately? Any that I'd enjoy? I'm into almost all types of books... with the exception of self improvement books (ie. 7 Habits of Highly Effective People).
Hate em. Never have I read more than two chapters of a self improvement book.
I love a good novel; a story that makes your mind spin- either because of its profoundness or because of the authors ability to make it all come together so perfectly; one that you find yourself reflecting through out the years after reading it.
Okie dokie smokey?

While I am at it, here are a few of my recommendations:
The Time Travelers Wife, by Audrey Niffeneger
.. Yes they recently made this into a movie. I was excited for it but when I heard it was a total let down I decided I didn't want to see it and downgrade my own picture perfect characters... you know, like with Edward for instance.
My Name is Asher Lev, by Chaim Potok
.. quite possibly my favorite book ever written- and a story I think everyone can relate to.
Angela's Ashes, by Frank McCourt
.. heartbreaking and humbling.
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, by Betty Smith
.. also humbling. Somewhat of an early 1900's version of The Glass House, another amazing book.
The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath
.. Wild! This book has caused me to question my sanity on more then one occasion. Yet, I still love the story. I find it fascinating mainly because it is a thinly disguised autobiography that was published one month before Plath took her life.
Thank you in advance!

Read "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett. http://www.amazon.com/Help-Kathryn-Stockett/dp/0399155341/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1261275456&sr=8-1
It's awesome.
One of the best books I've ever read is "Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust." by Immaculee Ilibagiza. It is the saddest, but most inspiring books I've ever read. The kind of book you read and then think, even on my very worst day, it could never be that bad.
Also love Jodi Picoult so I recommend '19 minutes' which was my favorite of hers thus far.
...The Book of Mormon...Mum
The Sparrow & Children of God by Mary Doria Russell. Completely haunted by them.

Her novel A Thread of Grace, about the resistance in Italy in WWII, was also so powerful and haunting.
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
So funny that someone else recommended The Help, because I was specifically going to tell you to read it! I just finished it, it's really really good. Also, I am reading the Shopaholic books right now and they are really cute. You kind of want to kill her bc she's such an idiot, but then she redeems herself.
AAND I've read Left To Tell, the Rwandan Genocide one. It's really good. It's like 300 pages and I read it in one single night. I stayed up until 3 AM because I couldn't put it down. Sooo, ditto what everyone else said...
