That Hair

It all started with that hair.

Last July, I saw a picture of that hair on a friend's Facebook account, and I told her that I was in love.

And I was. I was absolutely head-over-heels madly in love with that hair.

And that's how it started.

There has been possibly one person more in love with that hair than me, and that is Chase himself. So I really couldn't have been more shocked on Sunday night when he looked at me and said, "I think I'm ready to cut my hair."

The hour that followed that statement is honestly a blur to me, but somehow we ended up in his sister Cambria's salon.

It was bitter-sweet.

I watched as that hair, that beautiful hair that I fell in love with, fell to the floor.

And when it was over, that boy, that beautiful beautiful boy was still there,

and I was absolutely head-over-heels madly in love.

With him.

So one afternoon a few weeks ago, I was holding Chase's sweet little niece, Faith, who is just 6 or 7 months old. She seriously never cries or fusses, I don't even think she poops. Okay, so I'm not raising her or anything so maybe her mum would say otherwise, but she appears to be the perfect baby. So Chase was sitting there with me while I held Chill Baby Faith when his sister Tiffany walked in the room and he asked her, "Hey Tiff, Do you think babies and little kids are influenced by their parent's personalities and moods and the vibes they give off?" And Tiffany said, "Absolutely. Like if I'm calm and happy and not stressed out- my boys totally pick up on that." Then there was a little conversation between them about how it must be important to be level-headed, easy-going, and cheerful when you are a parent because who knows how much your babies are influenced by that. We all agreed, then Chase looked at me with a pondering look and said, "I wonder how our kids will be. Because I'm super chill but you're super high-strung."

Awesome. So the reason I'm telling you all this story is because a very important fact has been established, and that is that I'm going to be a crazy mum that makes crazy rollercoaster babies... and my boyfriend is fully aware of this fact and he still wants to be the father my children.

Where's the most embarrassing place your cell phone has ever gone off?

I'm pretty good about my phone manners. But my Nana's went off during the family prayer just before they closed the casket at my great-grandma's (her mum's) funeral.... And it took a good 45 seconds for her to fish it out of her cleavage because my mom, me, and my aunt Yadi all had our hands in there trying to grab it too... Not cool.

This week! Spring Break! I have NO plans and I can't wait!! I'll be catching up on my beauty sleep, cleaning and organizing, and baking. I'm in the mood to bake!
